Every Fridays from 3pm to 5pm in SCA 203, MEGA holds a 2 hour game jam (which we call Game Blitzes) right before our weekly meetings. These Blitzes are great for developing an idea, getting the creative juices flowing, spending some time working on an existing project, meeting other developers, developing a library. They are generally a great way to work in an environment full of people that are working on games! The more the merrier so join in SCA 203 at around 2:30 to set up and prepare, and let's make some games! Theme: Space Wormhole in one! by Edouard Lorenceau Flick your mouse to send your ship towards Earth in this Galactic Golf game. The game was meant to implement the idea of the power of ten. I did not have the time to implement that idea properly. I also would have liked to implement control of the ship once sent on it's original trajectory. The ship would have to fend off asteroids and other space dangers and anomalies. Space n' Slide by Asher Vollmer Operate the most cumbersome slippery spaceship control scheme in existence in order to maneuver through an asteroid field and find more fuel so you can continue to operate the most cumbersome slippery spaceship control scheme. April 8th 2011Theme: Pop Bounce the balls to keep the balls in the air. You lose points if one falls to the bottom. Pop Blocks by Asher Vollmer You and an opponent lay balloons around a grid with the hopes of blowing up holes in the ground and shrinking the map. The color with the most territory remaining wins! Reverse Bloons by Dru Erridge Bounce darts back at the monkey! |
